I am a British journalist with Reuters News Agency currently based in Qatar.

I have reported from Egypt and Yemen where I lived from 2010 until 2012 and worked as an editor at the Yemen Times and as a freelancer reporting on the uprising that ended the 33-year rule of Ali Abdullah Saleh.

I have written for the Guardian, TIME, Reuters, Foreign Policy, The Economist, Newsweek, and other publications.

I graduated from SOAS University and was was a recipient of the 2012 Fulbright Alistair Cooke Award completing an MA in Journalism and Near Eastern Studies at New York University.
